Larry, As long as you insulate the cig lighter so that it doesn't ground out, you can connect the lighter as if it were in a negative ground car and it should be fine for the converter. Just be sure that the + and - are connected to the lighter correctly for a neg ground car. I had to temporarily wire in a cig lighter to each car to work the little HP meter-thingy. I had to check how the cigarette lighters are usually wired. Sorry, I don't remember which polarity to the center contact. Glen  |
