Let's say a fella was putzing with a '53 Ford Jubilee tractor.

And lets say he fixed a leaking gas tank and in reassembling the fuel
delivery plumbing he may have slightly misthreaded the fuel line fitting
into the petcock-sediment bowl.

And let's say he suspects it's the sediment bowl housing that's buggered
and he is too cheap to buy a replacement.

If the leak at the fitting is just a little leak-just a drip about every
5 seconds, short of JBWelding the thing together (BAD idea),

Can anyone recommend a gasoline-resistant sealer I could try on threads
and flare joint before I get out my Visa card?

Much thanks!

P.S. She Who Must Be Obeyed forced me to electrify and re-commission her
beater TR3-B after its winter's nap. Much as I prefer Ford tractors to
Standard-Triumph, I must say the shake down cruise in the clear evening
made me long for the MGs to be on the road. Winter really makes you
appreciate summer!
