OK, I imagine it has to be detectable by either ignition or compression/leakdown. Hook up a timing light to that plug wire and route it into the cockpit with you to see whether that miss at idle is spark. It still sounds like a bad plugwire, but those are usually fine at idle and miss under load. I do know a bloke in Tennessee who could probably sort it right out for you for a mere $1700 ED  |
