OK, I just got back from Carlisle.... I have to say that this
bidding war is better than eBay!!!
I will try to post a picture of what the car did look like when Frank
bought it. I am sure Frank will set the record straight when he gets
back from Carlisle. If I am correct... Frank came out ahead after
purchasing the car. Most of what you see on the car was stuff from
around the garage. The rules stated that the car was to have a
purchase price of, or be worth $250 or less when acquired. It was
both. I even emailed Justin and asked how "Shiney" the car is
allowed to be when finished. He said we can do what we wish after we
purchase the car. I even told him that it most likely will become a
"Clarici Classic". He gave us the Go ahead anyway. We can't help it
that ours is shinier than yours, David.
In the long run, though, I'd bet that we have more to watch for than
alot of the entrants. Oil...Coolant...Rain...(no roof...nor
wipers)..... heck, we are carrying a spare Axle! (Just incase)
Just by the sheer nature of a spridget, we have as much to watch for
in keeping the car together as the next guy. ;-) ..... we just look
good doin' it.
A picture will be posted soon.
