I'll have to check, but I think that's all they move is 1/8". It's been
a while since I've had the carbs out of the car.
At any rate, I've been pusing them up until they stop. Seems to work for
me. :)

Yes, you can Chris...
as long as your sense of touch is such you
can "feel" 1/8" of air valve vertical displacement using the lifting pin
on your idling engine. I myself am admittedly less than blessed in this
respect!! :)
