Glad to see they are illegal somewhere, should be everywhere.
Not just soft but they work harden and get brittle when used as
brake lines, pressures are much less on a fuel line and it might be
safe but I would find something else.
I purchased copper-nickel brake lines ( I believe the proper name
is Kunifer lines ) but I got them from a website that is no longer
around so I can't help you there.
