Okay... based on that description I'll retract my earlier statement and just 
leave at "more oil than I see on the top of the head of my TR4 engine." :)

Perfect...  The oil doesn't look like it would actually spill over the side 
of the head, but there's certainly a lot of it splashing around up there at 
idle.
I know part of my problem is paranoia...  Anyway, I took the car out for a 
nice 20 mile drive today, and it seems to have settled down a lot.  I'm 
feeling much better now.  It's great to have it back on the road again!!!
