cracked suspension mount

This is a picture of the rear a-arm mounting ear with the crack in it.
The bumpy ring is the old weld that held a washer in place. I apologize
for the fuzzy picture. I'm going to try my hand at welding it up. Any
advice to get me on the right direction?
