OK. This is kinda embarrassing. The "1098" I pulled out of my 65 midget donor car has the engine ID 12/1671Z/L 625. Or something very close. The # in the block casting is 12G 1279. I had operated on the chassis ID and the assumption of an original engine - duh. Anyone help me ID this engine? Thanks Joe Lansing 62 Sprite (I think) Tired of spam? Yahoo!
