Hmmm. Well, in a society where 50% of the population waddles, when they
ambulate, I suppose that might be what it takes!
Seriously, though, a woman who would be drawn to a guy because he's driving
a "luxury SUV" is not a woman I'd have much interest in knowing, were I to
be "in the market".
My wife, who's first sight of me was when I dragged myself out from under my
race car, while cleaning Nelson Ledges paddock mud off the undercarriage,
nearly turned me down for our first date, partially because of the fact that
I drove a very clean MGB-GT. Luckily, for me, she over-ruled her common
sense, and accepted my offer.

I was outside a restaurant recently, and a Caddy Escalade was parked in
front. Another guy outside looks at it, turns to me, and says he's
thinking of getting one. I don't know what to say, don't want to start
a fight. So, in usual British car owner form, I reply that IF I were
going to get an SUV, it would be a Range Rover. Guy shakes his head.
"Not pretty enough. You need something like this " -- he points to the
Escalade -- "to attract women these days."
So if you, like I, are in your fifties and haven't had to ask a woman
out on a date for thirty years or so, you don't know what's driving
this.
