The last time I plumbed my shop, I decided to get a good unit instead of the cheapies I'd used in the past. I haven't noticed any difference aside from the price. Filters don't seem to make much difference either unless they're finer than 3 microns, or you use a coalescing type. Correct plumbing with enough pipe, proper slope, and water traps, etc. makes a big difference, though. Of course, we don't have any actual humidity here in SoCal. Maybe those of you back east will have more to say about filters. BZ |
