Jordan Valley was (is?) a major speed trap, it was even featured on Sixty
Minutes years ago. The state police may be an hour away but then again so
is the next turn off. The speed limit is 25mph in town and the only sign is
in small print at the bottom of the "Welcome to Jordan Valley" sign. If you
don't believe me just ask the cop to move the weeds so you can read it. Now
Ely to Elko/Wells, NV on US93, well I drove it in my mother's car not so
long ago and averaged a little over 100mph for the 220 miles, and I wasn't
trying hard at all, not to mention she was in the car.
                Crash

OK, might have an answer here. Malheur County in Oregon. 11th largest
county in the States at 9926 Square miles. It's larger than Rhode Island
and Connecticut combined. Total population of about 600 with 300 living in
Jordan Valley. (A town) Only 2 deputies patrol US-95, a 2 lane soft
shouldered road, that goes through the county. Deputy says highest clocked
speed by him on the 55 MPH limit road is 118, and he caught up to him in his
Ford Crown Vickie. Pretty sure the Veyron will out distance him!! PS,
nearest State Police back up is more than an hour away!!

Cap'n might want to leave Bugeye in CT. as it will get used up in a couple
weeks, or so!!! 2 hrs from Jordan Valley to County seat for a coffee!!
This area isn't that far from Kate, though, where I understand there are
good steaks to be had at her table! McDermitt turn off, Kate.

Later, Paul A
