Not necessarily.  It is actually a safety improvem ent that makes it 
unnecessary for the driver's eyes to stray from the road  to the radio 
to find the knobs or push buttons. 

Now, if only Honda and other manufacturers would install hands free cell 
phones in their models.  They tried to do it a couple of years ago, but 
it was found to be a very imperfect system.  Stange, I have had friends 
in England who had them 15 years ago.  Of course, they were light years 
ahead of the U.S. in the use of cell phones.  (Anybody know why?)
