Martyn... I do not have a definitive, specific answer to your question however, my factory manual indicates a DM2P4 dizzy is correct for a 948CG motor whether it be 8.3-1 or 9.0-1. (H) The difference in "static" setting...1 BTDC for the 8.3-1 and 4 BTDC for the 9.0-1 or (H) hi compression motor. No other specs are mentioned. Hope this may be of some help to you.
