Hello all,
I'm once again hoping to tap into the collective wisdom of the list.
I have a Craftsman riding lawnmower, and I seem to have messed the steering
up on it. The right front wheel is off camber by a bunch. When the
steering wheel is in the correct position, the left tire is pointing dead
ahead, while the right tire points off to the outside at a 30 degree angle.
I checked the underside of the mower, and didn't see anything obviously bent
or out of whack. The rod that connects the tires to the steering assembly
looks to go under the engine, so it is hard to see if maybe one side is
bent. The manual that came with the mower isn't much help, and a bit of
Googling didn't turn up much for me.
Does anyone have experience repairing these, and can give me some hints as
to what to look for? I hope I'm not stuck taking it to the repair shop,
since these things are even less complicated than our beloved Spridgets. :-)
Any info or help is appreciated. Thanks!
