I would just LOVE a set of the pointy things! Is there a brand or name for
these other than the above? Are they marked with the needle stations? Can
you remove the bonnet and watch them as you drive?
I think the balance is over-rated. Do carbs need balanced? Of course! Does
it need to be within millibars? Heck no. Last week Horrible Fright had their
"mechanic's stethoscopes" on sale, so I picked some up. I reckon that I can
get a couple of chunks of longer tubing and some clips to hold the ends into
the carb throats and be able to listen to both carbs at the same time.
