you need a rad cap for an MGA. there was a time that the distance between
the top edge of the rad cap neck or rad filler (what ever ya wanna call
it?) and the bottom area where a cap seats was deeper than the common depth
in todays rads. a modern cap fits but does not seal in older rads.

Or a TR3 as they had a deep neck also. Some of the TR guys have their neck
replaced at the radiator shop with a newer style so they can use the more
common caps. Should take you all of 15 minutes to do this modification Frank.
