As an owner of an E-Type I'd say:
Maybe.
All depends upon condition.  If there are any hidden body or engine
issues, you have only made a down payment.  E-Types are very expensive to
repair when it comes to those items.
Best advice is have an expert in E-Types look at it for you.  Don't buy
it unless you do.
