I have a customer with a 1967 Healey 3000 with 972,000 miles on it. You should see his radiator expand under just 12 lbs pressure on the cap. It swells an amazing amount. It has a permanent bulge in it from doing it so much. But it only needs sealing about every three or four years. This is radiator number 3 or 4 in the car and they have all done it. So, too much pressure on the old radiator design can have a bad effect. Barry |
