to me the big question is how good the metal on the pillar is in that area.
It usually rots from the inside so it's pretty easy for it to look good pretty
late in the game. Mine could use repairs but I'm just pretending it's not
happening, I think it can be a pretty tough area to work in without
disassembling a lot, but someone who's done it would know more.
