generator rebuild

Subject: generator rebuild

I am planning on rebuilding my spare generator and ordered some parts. I 
noticed that the ball bearing on the front is held in place with a plate which 
is 
secured with revets. It looks like a tight fit and a trip to the hardware 
store did not find anything that looked like it would fit.Any suggestions?  Bob
