Certainly inclined to agree with you on that point. I don't see a way to
resolve the animosity we have created-- even if we could end our active
involvment tomorrow. Like the Blues Brothers, these guys are on a "mission
from God" and end up going to heaven when they lose! Hard to defend against
that mentality.
Meanwhile, I still can't get my 1275 to run right. Pulled the motor and
checked the cam timing and it was about 4 degrees retarded from spec. I
have come to the only conclusion possible: terrorists!

Thanks for that interesting information. See what one can learn from the
Spridgets group?!
It sounds as though French liberalism is more a reflection of classical
liberal economics, which in the U.S. is the foundation for the thinking of
those conservatives whose mental activity is not limited to a 60 cycle hum
and an invitation to step out back into the parking lot.
I hope you don't get too much flaming email in response, however.
You know, we Americans are STILL not drinking French wine! ;-)
I'm drinking French wine. I'm a conservative (American definition) a
Republican and a veteran, but I heard something a year or two ago that stuck
- when France was opposing the war and America was questioning its loyalty
and friendship, someone said: "France is doing what only a true friend WILL
do - tell you when you're acting like an asshole". Too bad we didn't
listen, look what a mess we've stuck our young ones with.
