Agree with Brad...when SU pumps run
continuously there is either an air leak
before the pump or a fuel leak after the
pump.
That "rusty grunge" you found....that came
from rust within tank and/or lines so "source" of problem most likely
remains,
though present "symptoms" taken care
of.
