Since I'm almost done with the new motor, I thought I'd post the specs. I
designed it entirely around the turbo and my intended use. I'm tryng to build
a motor over 100HP, turbocharged, runs on 91 octane unleaded, smooth response
upto 7K and daily driver dependable.

1275 block, bored .040 over, cleaned and decked the minimum to insure
flatness.
nitrided crank, std size
Custom Venolia pistons, three rings(fancy 'filled' top ring), 16cc dish,
anti-friction coating on skirts, ceramic on crowns.
resized and balanced rods
Custom cam designed by David Anton(APT) and ground to compliment the turbo
specs.
ARP fasteners throughout
Titan cogged belt timing set and new Romac harmonic balancer(APT)
Volume matched combustion chambers on a 12G940 head milled the minimum to keep
up the chamer volume (ported, of course!)
HUGE ceramic coated Rimflow valves and manganese-bronze guides suggested by
APT with appropriate seats for the exhaust,
teflon seals for the intake valves
Titan 1.5 roller rockers(APT)
Petronix ignitor module linked to an MSD 6BTM ignition module with an
adjustable (from the cockpit) timing retard linked to the boost pressure.
Soft-touch rev limiter set to 6.5K.
rebuilt, rebalanced, ceramic coated Rayjay turbocharger
single HIF44, flow modified (Vizard), with APT stubstack and K&N conical air
filter.
high output Metro oil pump, new water pump.(APT)
gear reduction starter (Paul A.)
rods and crank are shot-peened
rods, crank, flywheel and pistons balanced

This motor should be able to make a 1380 cry like a little girl and then
deliver me to work in style.

I'm dropping the head tonight now that I've wasted an evening lapping the
valves.

Glen
