I have indeed tried it out. It works fine. The only problem is that there is
no back-light for after dark. ("A gentleman should be home by dark" --
Joseph Lucas) It is rather nice to clear it at the start line of the
autocross and be able to see at the end what my max speed was, etc. It is a
nice steady readout and appears to be quite accurate.
It was not easy deciding where and how to mount the display for it. I ended
up epoxying it to the top curve of the dash cover just to the right of my
steering wheel for good visibility. One of these days I will get the proper
speedometer adaptor for my 5-speed, but in the meantime I am happier with
this.
