gas tank cleaning/fireworks

It's a great day for a BBQ! The neighbors especially liked the fireworks. Guess 
I should have put the water in the tank before putting it on the fire!
 
Just kidding. The tank's simmering away in the back yard. So what should I do 
after a few hours, other than dump out what water's left and retreiving my nuts 
and bolts??
