I cannot advise on a 1500 but obviously,
after 25 years I assume the cat is..ahhhh,
"inactive"! :)
Remember...when you "open up" the
exhaust (assuming you do) you will most
likely have to richen the settings
considering less back pressure and/or
obstruction to "flow". Just let the 
"colortune" be your guide...excellent
instrument.
