I have a book called how to restore your collector car.  It covers a lot of 
ground so you might think it's too general, but I learned more about bodywork 
from it than from the three bodywork books I bought.  It discusses this issue 
from the point of view of putting modern setups on older american cars.  It's 
written by a guy named Tom Brownell.
