Bill....IMHO.... Buy a new cap and pull the wires from the old, inspecting them carefully where they would fit into the cap....make sure there are no visible "cracks" or "breaks" in the insulation in this particular area. They, using some dialectric grease, insert them into the new cap and give all a try. You'll know whether new wires are required (for whatever reason) momentarily. If so, the cost of the new cap should looked upon as "cheap insurance". Cap'n. Bob '60 :{) |
