My 2 cents. I have a battery operated timimg light that has been excellent. It works on two "D" cells and has one wire with an inductive pickup that you slip around the plug wire only. It has worked on every car we tried it on: 6 volt 1930 Chevy, 6 volt 1949 Ford, 12 volt Chebbies, Bugeye, 3000, Jeep Cherokee, you name it. Much better than the clip on the battery versions, especially with a trunk mount or under the floor battery. Made by Flaming River and sold through speed equip and hotrod shops. No financial intrest yada yada yada Dave |
