Bob Cap'n, I just don't think that a leakdown test would accurately diagnose a sticky valve problem that doesn't really hit its stride until 2000 rpm. I could be wrong. In fact, I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken ;-) Sorry, I couldn't resist that old line. I suppose that a timing light with adjustable delay could be used to observe the valve action while running with the valve cover removed ... It would be fun anyway. David Lieb |
