I'm finishing assembly of new 948 engine for the Turner. Just noticed that the
stud location on the Longman head is quite different from the original. As a
result, instead of aiming at the upper radiator outlet, the Thermostat
Housing/Water Outlet Elbow aims at the other side of the radiator - c. 4
o'clock. Radiator outlet location as looking at engine, while standing in
front of it is at 7 o'clock. That is now location of one of the three studs
for the thermostat housing.
Anyone know if any of the later units aims closer to 7 o'clock, perhaps 5/6 or
8/9?
