A year old clutch sould not slip at all. Mine is 5 years old and is
still good as new. You might want to check that the throw out bearing is
not riding on the pressure plate. Too long of a clutch slave rod,
incorrectly set pedal rod (on pre 67s) or maybe a bent release fork.
It's just a tough call to look inside and see if the release bearing is
riding on the plate. Flashlight thru the fork hole or if you can get to
it, thru the top inspection plug.
