Grab a flash light and crawl in by the pedals. If you don't know exactly where
the vent is, it is nearly impossible to find. It might be in the owners manual -
I lost mine about 20 years ago.
Why would you want to use metric tools? By 68, your car should have been mostly
SAE, although I am certain there are still some Whitworth fittings. I suspect
that your neighbor just wants to get better acquainted. I feel certain that you
can manage should this be the case.
