I found that Eagle 1 ( the etching kind ) Works good. It is hard to find a
store that has it though. They cater to the wheels that have clear on them.
If the wheels are badly oxidized you should get some scotchbright and go over
them with that first. Then the Eagle 1 and rinse. I also spray mine with
black enamel after that and with a rag soaked with thinner clean off the
bright portion of the wheel. this method eliminates masking. A job that
almost every one gives up on the first wheel. I hope that helps. good luck.
