You folks in Southern California missed out big time on California Healey
Week, but we hope you had fun at the races. The car show on Saturday was
actually postponed for five hours because it was raining. Jim Albeck and I
were standing on the sidelines LMAO at everyone worrying while in most of the
rest of the country they'd just hold the show anyway. Jim recounted a Texas
Healey Roundup where it rained so hard and long that they never were able to
dry the cars off, just check the way the water beaded up on them and award
prizes.
Anyway, we had a car show. We won last place and got a trophy anyway because
only two Sprites showed up. The meet was otherwise a terrific success. Kind
of nice having it in your backyard (about 10 miles from home) but seems that
there are certainly a lot more distractions that way. A group of us went to
a restaurant Friday night that we hadn't been to before, but will go back to
again.
