I only had to paint one. Other artists are painting the rest. It was a
juried design thing. My kids loved having him in the garage. He was
7.5' tall and 10' long.
I returned him to the Carnegie 2 weeks ago. They are clear coating him
and mounting him on a 300 lb concrete base. He will placed near the
Andy Warhol Museum for the summer. In October he will be auctioned off
with 50% of the proceeds going to the Carnegie Museum and the other 50%
going to a charity.
The sponsor who chose my design gets to pick the charity. It is
Christine Toretti. I don't know if any of you follow college
basketball, but she just married Lute Olson last month. She has said
her charity is probably going to be the Andy Warhol Museum.
It was a lot of fun.
Thanks to all the listers who emailed me and welcomed me back and
congratulated me on the baby!
