I agree. On the other hand, I would appreciate a good reliable and
affordable place where I could send a head from one of my cars to get
re-worked and/or unleaded-readied and know that it was not the first
A-Series head the guy had seen and that I would be getting back the same
head that I had sent in. Something similar to the service that Peter C
offers for shocks. Not having needed this service yet, I do not know what a
reasonable price would be.
Is there a list amongst the many that Mark hosts that provides a venue for
people like Peter C to advertise? Or even for people like me to request
information on available services? I know that this list is not intended to
perform that function and that there are many liability aspects to the
appearance of endorsing someone, but it would be nice to have some way of
discriminating between various options. I would prefer to send my money to
list members than not. I know that Gerard, Chuck, he who must not be
mentioned and Peter C offer a nebulous variety of services. but I am not
sure of specifics.
If there is a lister who does bodywork and is capable of repairing a bent
subframe on an RWA Midget in the Chicagoland area (or not too far away), I
would like to know.
