Bob,
here's the deal... and I've tried to be subtle, I've tried to be humorous..
hell... I've even tried to be blunt.
There a many people that have added "Pilot Bob" filters to their mail just
to give themselves a break for the 47 daily messages you post. I think you
might consider the "reply" vs. the "reply to all" button on your mail
program once in a while. (Please, go back and read that sentence again...)
You seem to chime in on every single post (sometimes repeatedly). I believe
your intentions are good, and for the most part, when making a comment on a
technical issue, you're giving good advice. It's the number of messages you
post that turns it into a "constant din". You know... like the "me too"s and
the "ya got that right"s.
You sound like a nice guy, and you're never negative or mean spirited, and I
certainly don't place you in the category of the "he who's name shall never
be mentioned" types.
Having said all that, I realize that we all are capable of posts that rub
people the wrong way. I know I ruffled some feathers the other day with my
correlation between less than satisfactory parts and bodged body & chassis
repairs. It was not meant personally, (except for Frank and his roofing tar
;) )
And, in this instance, I used the "reply all" on this mail, because your
post was "to all"... but subsequent discussions on this subject between you
and I will be private (I hope).
