It is not necessary. You can get the cylinders clean enough with a piece of
crocus cloth. I also used a small pick to get into the seal grooves. The
seals seal against the pistons, not the cylinders, so the cylinders don't
have to be perfect. If the pistons aren't perfect, buy new ones.
