I was thinking exactly the same thing! Then decided - why not a more modern
FWD setup? Surely there's enough width, and you don't have the height issue
(Mini engines are TALL) It's already a Frankenstein, a Japanese unit upfront
would just put it over the top.
I'm curious about the rear suspension.
How about a Porsche flat-six insertion?
