Door handle removal / reinstall

Frank's advice is wise. You might also consider making
a slot where the front screw hole was so you can put the
nut & washers on the handle a few turns and then slide
the front of the handle back into place without juggling
the nut etc.  Then you just tighten it up & Bob's yo uncle!
