I spoke to this seller some months ago about this car. He seems very honest, but
at least at that time, wanted more for the car than it is worth.
-The body/chassis work needed speaks for itself ($?,???.??)
-The drivetrain is somewhat of easy find, but they did have their own air
cleaner
and air cleaner adapters. Also, if you're really into it, they used
Magneti-Marelli electrics and therefore used a different distributor, different
tach-drive generator, and different starter.
-Having said all that, anything else that's missing is, uh, hard-to-find, to say
the least. As Peter points out, windshields are unobtainable. Someone in Italy
claims they are going to do a run but fit and accuracy is, so far, untested.
Taillight units are available but pricey. Lenses are typically in the area of
$300.00 or more. Complete light units $500.00 or more.
It's not unusual to acquire a fairly complete, or sometimes very complete,
Spider
for $2,000 or less.
So unfortunately this car is either a parts car, or a basis for a restoration by
someone who already owns the parts needed to resurrect it.
