I have been using plain old copper tubing (1/4") the stuff for fridge 
icemakers. Cheap, bends easy, doesn't rust.

You can buy those frame clips and the hair pin clips for the seat rail 
frame reinforceing plate
at most hardware stores. I do know the hair pin clip is called "Hair pin 
clip" But the clip for the pipe/frame is also available, i have seen it 
but do not know the correct term. Bring an old one to the store and show 
them. You might find them in the Dorman draws at the auto parts store too.
