I am running a weber downdraft on my 76 midget with a mechanical fuel pump.
I don't normally get all over the throttle, but I have noticed that when I
do, at about shift time in 3rd, I run out of gas. Literally. Back off the
throttle just a bit and no problem, or fuel pick back up.
New clean filters on suction and discharge of pump. Pump is new.
I am thinking that the volumetric flow of the mechanical pump is not
suffificient. Have any others experienced this problem? Would changing to
an electric pump and pressure regulator do any good?
Thanks
Brent
