Yeah....
The parent/kid relationship is really more
of a two-way than one way learning relationship, when parents are of the
type
who really listen to their kids. They are
beautiful, David, aren't they?
To me she is stating her priorities in terms
of values, as they are at this time....she'd rather have your company
than more possessions....she's got enough of these
but not enough of YOU!! Of course, she
has no economic reality at this point in
time...the essentials are taken care of
thanks to you and Mom.
You used to be the same way, you know.
And I resisted all the socialization....and
stayed that way while meeting the financial obligations of the
essentials.
I basically own nothing to speak of....and yet, have everything I need,
despite having been bought up in a household
where wealth and possessions were
everything....and yet....nothing (of any
real value!!).
