Frank,
You don't mention the vintage of victim you are dealing with here. Early
motors had a symmetrical plate on the top of the motor that could be rotated
180 degrees to correct this. Assuming you don't have that motor, you
probably reassembled the wheelboxes 180 degrees out. IIRC, you like to
dissassemble those in situ which tends to make it a bit difficult to see
whether the cable should be above the wheelbox or below it.
