Bill,
You don't say which year car you have so I'm assuming you have a year with
the collapsable column. Yhere are two screws the pass through horizontally
to hold the two sides together. One is very near the dash and typically
needs all the fascia bolts removed so you can drop the column low enogh the
get at it. You'll need to do that anyway to get both halves off. Make sure
you replace the bolts and shim washers in exactly the same positions as you
removed them. Write down what went were before you remove them as I
guarantee you'll forget before you put it back together.
