I once installed my engine/tranny without greasing the pilot bushing. It
sure let me know about it. Second one was when I installed a later ribcase
with a 948 stamped backing plate and 1098 clutch. It made about half a
revolution and locked up. These are just a couple of reasons I can R&R the
engine/tranny in about the same amount of as Frank.

ps You can R&R them with the bonnet in place on a bug-i and I have the
pictures to prove it!!!!!!!!
