The car shows I have entered where the participants like me vote for show
winners? I always check the pedals and the tires for wear and vote for
drivers over trailer queens. Right or wrong? I don't know--but I put more
value on an operating, serving automobile than I do a museum piece. But then
I figure that a drive-in show should have cars that are driven in.
And have a separate competition for the others. And not to knock Concours
cars--I think it is great that there are folk who are interested in authentic
restoration. My "Kentucky Wildcats" baseball cat is off to them.
